In this fictional story filmed documentary-style during the actual riots in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, we see quick bacground shots of various people in a park including demonstrators, photographers, policemen, National Guardsmen, and a woman holding a rat snake and showing it to two other demonstrators. She could have been an actor but I think she was probably just someone they saw in the park while filming and showed for background interest, not to advance the plot in any way.

A college student tries to feed a mouse to a Burmese Python, but the snake refuses to eat. He forgets that he's still holding the mouse and leans over the snake which swallows the mouse and his hand, causing him to freak out and swing the snake around the room, eventually dislodging the snake and throwing it teeth first into the throat of another student.
