Snakes and Skulls in Movies
This is an alphabetical list of movies with snakes and skulls in them, taken from the main Snakes in Movies List.
Snakes and skulls are often found on biker tattoos. Google it - you'll find hundreds of images. And they're sometimes found in movies. Most of the time snakes are seen crawling out of a human skull (or the skull of a dessicated corpse) but sometimes they're found in an animal skull. Why use such a creepy image? It's supposed to be a symbol of the cycle of life and death or death and rebirth, but basically, it just looks cool.

Big Freakin' Snake (2023) Pollution causes some snakes to mutate into giants and others to agressively attack people. We see a library shot of a python crawling through a skull for no apparent reason.
Death Curse of Tartu (1966) If anyone disturbs his sacred burial grounds in the Florida Everglades, a dead Indian medicine man revives and turns into wild animals to kill them, including a giant Anaconda that crawls out of his crypt and over some skulls to get to its victim.
From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money (1999) Bad guys drive past a python crawling through the eye socket of a skull in Mexico.
Indiana Jones & the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Indiana Jones hates snakes, but he's forced to drop into a temple full of snakes. There are so many snakes that some of them are crawling out of holes in the wall and even out of the mouth of a human skull.
Jungle Cruise (2021) We see several shots of snakes crawling out of skull eye sockets and we also see snakes crawling out of the face of a man who is cursed to be made out of snakes.
The Naked Prey (1965) A South African hunter is hunted by an African tribe. When he rests from running from them, he stops next to a large horned skull with a snake crawling out of its eye socket.
The People That Time Forgot (1977) An evil villain's cave is decorated with the skulls of his victims and one large python.
Python Island (2022) Villagers go to a forbidden island where they are attacked by the giant snakes that guard the island's magic plants. They find a pile of skeletons and skulls with snakes crawling on and out of them.
The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) A snake shoots out of the mouth of a Haitian zombie corpse bride and bites the face of an American scientist.
The Blade Master [aka Cave Dwellers; Ator: The Invincible] (1984) Nubile maidens are thrown into an underground snake pit full of human skulls and bones to be human sacrifices that will be eaten by a giant snake.
Lake Placid (1999) A group searching for a killer crocodile finds the severed head of one of its victims. When someone pokes the head with a stick, a snake crawls out of the mouth.
The Man with the Iron Fists (2012) A snake crawls out of the mouth of a dead man's head.
The Tender Warrior (1971) We see several snakes in a Georgia swamp, including a Coral Snake crawling through the eye socket of a human skull.
Tommy (1975) Snakes crawl around Tommy's skeleton in the bizarre Acid Queen song scene with Tina Turner.
The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism (Die Schlangengrube und das Pendel) (1967) A woman in a ball gown is tortured with the threat of falling into a pit full of snakes, human bones, and a skull.
True Grit (1969) A girl falls into an abandoned mine full of rattlesnakes and human bones and skulls.
True Grit (2010) A girl falls into an abandoned mine full of rattlesnakes next to a human corpse.
Turkey Shoot (Escape 2000) (1982) A prisoner in a re-education camp is set free to be hunted to the death by a hunter. When she ducks into a crevice in the ground to hide from her hunter, she finds a corpse with a snake crawling out of the skull.
