There is a brief comic snake prank scene. The scientist's daughter Sohee is outside talking with a reporter who pretended to be the scientist's new housekeeper so she could read his secret research. The real housekeeper comes and makes Sohee go inside the house, which makes the girl angry. Then the housekeeper goes into Sohee's bedroom and sees a lump under the covers, and is pleased that Sohee is sleeping. She bends down to lift the covers, only to see a snake on the bed. She backs away in panic, then Sohee comes out from her hiding place to show that the snake is only a toy.

The strange thing about this trivial scene is that the first snake we see is a real live snake, which we can see moving, but the snake Sohee picks up is a toy snake. It's a mystery why they didn't just use a toy snake for both shots. Maybe they thought it wouldn't be convincing enough to the housekeeper, or to the audience, but they certainly weren't worried about the Kaijus looking convincing, because they were pretty bad.
