"Nobody is beyond redemption."

In Texas near the Mexican border a Bad guy Border Patrol Agent crawls into a wind-carved shelter in a large rock face and hears some rattling then gets bitten by a rattlesnake. We never get a good look at it, we only see him thrashing around with it inside the cave then throw it outside where it lands on a green bush. This is a rare realistic movie rattlesnake encounter. The snake was somewhere it could be and bit the man in a realistic way. But for some reason, when a group of illegals comes, it has moved from the bush to the ground. Tommy Lee Jones then takes him across to Mexico where a woman gives him some herbal treatment and says he will be cured of the venom. That part is a bit far fetched.
