Snakes in Movies   Tarzana, the Wild Woman (1969)   Spoiler Alert ! Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.   After seeing Femi Benussi's brief but luminous performance in Pasolini's "The Hawks and the Sparrows" (1966) (no herps, but there is a Marxist talking Raven) I did a search to see what other movies she made and discovered this gem. She plays Tarzana, a girl who has lived in the jungle most of her life, who rides around on an elephant wearing nothing but a loin cloth, like Tarzan. In fact, she spends most of the movie swimming, and talking to her chimp, and cuddling with baby wildcats while wearing nothing but a loin cloth. When she makes her version of the Tarzan yell, animals come running to her, including leopards, monkeys, and a snake.
