Robo Vampire (1988)

Spoiler Alert !

Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.

IMDB lists this as an action/horror/sci-fi mash-up, and it also has a lot of slapstick comedy. It's also an Asian martial-arts flick, and a gun-fighting crime movie. There are also a few snakes in it which don't do anything to advance the plot, but if that was a criteria for this list it would be much much shorter.

The movie is so bad that Riff Trax comments on it, and their version is probably the most fun to watch. Don't let the title fool you, there is no robot vampire. There is an android robot made out of a dying policeman (just like Robocop) and there are monsters that are called vampires, but they're not like the vampires we see in movies made in the west. These vampires are a strange combination of vampire and zombie, but we never see them bite anyone like western vampires. They hold both arms out straight in front of themselves and hop on two legs, they shoot flames out of their sleeves, and they can be shut down just by putting a piece of paper with a spell written on it on their face. The only reason there are even vampires in the movie is because a wizard can control them and some drug dealers hired him to use the vampires for protection. There's also a lady ghost who's in love with one of the vampires and another side plot about a kidnapped police woman. Snakes show up two times in the movie. First, at the very beginning, when we see some soldiers open a vampire coffin, we see a snake crawling out of it. Then when a soldier shoots at the coffin, snakes start flying out of it. The Riff Trax guys say something about shooting the coffin making a guy inside it throw snakes into the air, which is hilarious because it's exactly what happens.

Later we see an open vampire coffin which is full of snakes crawling over the vampire. The snakes don't really do much, they're mainly there for their yuck factor, but some of them do get out and one of the larges snake is shot by a soldier.
