I got this from Netflix by mistake thinking it was the 1986 snake woman film with the same title that is considered one of the best of the genre. There is no snake woman in it, but at least there is a cobra. The comic character of the film who is always getting in trouble is spying on a group of young girls swimming in revealing swim suits (for 1951 at least.) When they discover him they threaten to throw him in the river but he pretends to be blind, saying that he lost his stick. He reaches down and picks up a cobra claiming that he found the stick. When he opens his eyes and sees what he has he throws it away. The girls think he was bitten by the snake so they take care of him, feeding him fruit and fanning him.
