No, this isn't even remotely a "snake movie," but it's such an awesome classic horror movie, made in 1932, that I had to grab some screenshots.
Even with the terrible "house of pain" and all of the terrifying mutated half-human beasts we see on Dr. Moreau's Island, someone thought the audience still wasn't creeped out enough and what would really scare us is the sight of some close-up shots of two rattlesnakes, a gila monster, and some kind of giant tiny-legged worm lizard, all floating in jars. After seeing them, I was hoping to see that Dr. Moreau had created a giant snakeman, or a gila monster-human hybrid, but no such luck. My disappointment was relieved by the appearance of Leila Hyams as Lota the Panther Woman with her long sharp claws. She could have had her own movie.
