In this silent comedy a broke and jobless Buster Keaton follows the advice of Horace Greeley and hops a freight train going West. He falls out of the box car into a desert landscape. After running from a horse he stumbles into a stand of cactus. He bends down to look closer and sees the rattling end of a rattlesnake. He gets away fast. After that he fakes his way into a job as a cowboy, falls in love with a cow, and famously leads a herd of cattle through the streets of Los Angeles
