This is a really cheesy sci-fi, adventure, comedy. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic 2017 where unemployment is at 40 percent and Las Vegas is buried under sand, Sam, a rich guy from Anaheim, is in love with Cherry 2000, his blonde bimbo robot companion. He has sex with the robot on the kitchen floor when the sink overflows onto her and she shorts out and melts her insides beyond repair. Sam can't face trying to date real women because they bring demo reels and legal contracts to singles bars, so he decides to replace Cherry. He takes the chip that contains all of Cherry's memories and vocal patterns and hires a tracker, played by Melanie Griffith with flaming red hair, to take him into a forbidden zone guarded by armed gangs, because that’s where he needs to go to find another Model 2000 body to put the chip in to get his Cherry back. After escaping from one of the armed gangs, he meets Griffith's uncle Jake who tells him there's a lot more to love than just hot wiring, and then cooks a rattlesnake in a toaster oven, which Sam reluctantly eats. He and Griffith do find another Model 2000 who beomes Cherry, but Sam abandons her to save Griffith and they live happily ever after, the end. Spoiler alert.
