Not everybody loves California or buys into the California Dream. This is a list of songs that mention some of the negatives, taken from the main list of songs that mention California. Sometimes it's only about unhappiness because someone moved there leaving the singer behind. Sometimes the singer misses someone they left behind when they moved. Other times it's the traffic, the lack of four distinct seasons, the weather, the smog, Hollywood phoniness and plastic surgery, or because the dream turned out to be a nightmare. Sometimes they're just tired of being there and need a change. And sometimes they're just jealous fascists from Florida.
