This species was elevated from Leptotyphlops (Rena) humils boettgeri, but I have not found an official common name for it, so I had to make one up. If I discover one, I'll make a change.

Distribution of R. h. boettgeri according to The Reptile Database:
Mexico (Baja California Sur and Cerralvo Island); Type locality: unknown (fide HAHN 1980).
