When he's a young boy, Tommy's widowed mother meets a man called Uncle Frank. During a musical montage we see a young Tommy and his mother and Frank at an amusement park on the rides and playing games in the arcade. Then we see Tommy dancing in a hall of mirrors, joined by his weeping mother and Frank. Later in the movie his mother throws him through a mirror and he is no longer deaf and blind. The scene starts at about 21 min. |
