Jonny Briggs (Helmut Schmid) decides to quit working for Dr. Mabuse's criminal gang, so he and his girlfriend Nelly (Senta Berger) are sent into a large room full of mirrors. (Like many criminal masterminds in movies, Mabuse has a hall of mirrors in his lair for no obvious reason.) Dr. Mabuse talks to them over an intercom and taunts them, but Jonny still has his gun and starts shooting up the place until some of Mabuse's henchmen grab them and take them to an insane asylum.
