In the classic funhouse sequence at the end of the movie, Elsa Bannister (Rita Hayworth) takes her lover Michael O'Hara (Orson Welles) into the "Magic Mirror Maze" where they can talk about a murder for money plot in private, but her husband Arthur Bannister (Everett Sloane) enters the maze with a gun and tells her he knows that she lured him there to kill him and blame it on O'Hara so she can have his money, but he has made sure the district attorney will know about her plan if she kills him. They both aim their guns, hoping they're aiming at the other person and not a mirror, and shoot again and again, hitting mirror after mirror, until they finally hit each other.
