This is a musical comedy starring Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse and directed by Vincente Minelli. Cyd Charisse is Gabrielle Gerard, a prima ballerina who has been hired to bring some class to the show, which her co-star Tony Hunter (Fred Astaire) opposes.

One scene in The Band Wagon stage show is called "Girl Hunt" - A Murder Mystery in Jazz. It stars Tony Hunter as a hard-boiled detective and Gabrielle Gerard as both "The Blonde" (who Hunter tells us is "scared like a turkey in November") and a femme fatale called "The Brunette." Following a hunch about some murder evidence he found - material from a woman's gown - Hunter goes to a department store showroom with models walking around in expensive dresses. Modeling a flashy dress, the Brunette dramatically enters the room slowly through a mirrored doorway to show herself from several angles. Hunter's voice-over tells us: "She came at me in sections. More curves than a scenic railway. She was bad, she was dangerous. I wouldn't trust her any father than I could throw her. She was selling hard, but I wasn't buying." At the end he adds "But, she was my kind of woman."

Charisse's mirrored entrance happens at approximately 1:38:42.
