In this Hollywood version of an Italian giallo murder thriller, Faye Dunaway gives an eye-opening performance as Laura Mars, a famous but controversial fashion photographer who has been criticized for her use of staged violence in photo shoots with sexy models. Then she starts seeing what a serial killer sees when he murders women, and she becomes haunted by her new psychic power of seeing real violence through a killer's eyes.
Laura's bedroom has mirrors on the walls around the bed which create multiple reflections of anyone in the bed. At the end of the movie her boyfriend goes into her bedroom and stabs his own reflection in one of the mirrors.
We first see the mirrors before the opening credits at about 4 minutes. The final scene in front of the mirrors begins at about 1:37. |
