Lizards in Movies   Hell's Belles  (1969)   Spoiler Alert ! Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.   "The bikes were fast! SHE was faster!" "A mean set of wheels and a chick to match" "Meet The Debutante In A Leather Skirt!" This is a 60s Biker Western. What could be better? Dan wins a motorcycle race and wins a brand new bike. But everybody wants the bike so eventually a group of bikers steal the motorcycle and knock Dan out, leaving him on an isolated dirt road in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson. (Prime Gila Monster habitat.) When he regains consciousness, Dan sees a Gila Monster on the road. He looks at it, then walks away from it because he's a native. He knows they're harmless. Later, Dan wants a hot biker chick in big boots and a leather mini skirt to stay with him, so he scares her, telling her that the desert is full of killer rattlesnakes and Gila Monsters. That trick works. They used a nice live healthy-looking Reticulate Gila Monster for the role.
