Alligators and Crocodiles in Movies   The Bad Lieutenant - Port of Call: New Orleans (2009)   Spoiler Alert ! Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.       Nicholas Cage is a corrupt police lieutenant addicted to drugs and gambling in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. In the gator scene, we see skid marks leading to a dead alligator on the road and an overturned car nearby. There's another live alligator in the grass on the side of the road. There are plenty of gators in the bayous around New Orleans, so I expect that this is a realistic scene. Wandering alligators probably are in danger from traffic, and vice versa. But it's not the sort of thing you tend to see in a movie.
