Amphibians in Movies   Jungle Run (2021)   Spoiler Alert ! Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.   The search for their father... led them to HELL! This is a low-budget jungle adventure/animals run amok horror movie. The poster promises a giant monster snake, so I had to watch it, but you don't. It's bad, but not so bad that it's good bad. Amanda and her brother Scott travel to the Amazon to find their missing father along with Vera, who works for the logging company their father works for. They hire some guides who take them on a boat upriver into the jungle where they are attacked again and again by jungle animals - killer caiman, piranha so vicious they eat the entire boat, poison dart frogs, giant spiders, and of course some gigantic Anacondas. (You can see the snake scenes here.) Even the jungle plants attack them. It's all because the logging company that is destroying the jungle found an ancient artifact of a god named the Curipira that protects the Amazon and he comes to life, very very angry. Or something like that. The plot is a confusing mess at the end. We do see the giant flaming Curipira but by that time I had lost all interest. The Frog Scene Vera finds herself surrounded by poison dart frogs that are hopping on the ground all around her. Captain Lebeq tells everybody to run away from them. A frog jumps on Lebeq's leg. He says he's poisoned and tells his men to cut off his leg so he won't die, but a native man comes and heals him with herbs. We see some library footage close-ups of a couple of real live Green-and-Black Poison Dart Frogs (Dendrobates auratus) which actually can be deadly poisonous, but most of the frogs we see hopping and attacking are just bad CGI.
